Exfoliate with Glycolic Acid!
Fall is definitely prime time for exfoliation. The summer months have been hard on our skin. Exfoliating is a great way to help pigmentation, increase cell renewal and helps collagen and elastin production. Everything is great when your skin is primed to receive all the serums you put on it after! And a great ingredient to exfoliate your skin is glycolic acid.
Glycolic acid is the most popular Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA). It can even out skin tone, improve skin texture and decrease inflammation. It is derived from sugar cane and is found in several peels and skincare products. The unique thing about glycolic acid is that is specifically helps with aging skin concerns. It’s effective at reducing fine lines and wrinkles, fights pigmentation and increases skins thickness. It is a tiny molecule that can penetrate far into the skin. It helps dissolve all the bonds that hold skin cells together, and makes space for new skin cells. Because of this is stimulates the skin to create more collagen. Collagen gives your skin tissue strength but the production of collagen slows down as you get older.
